Publication date: 10th February

The Scandinavian Vikings, competing in the Longines Global Champions Tour, have officially announced their team lineup for the upcoming season. As excitement builds, Ashby Underwriting is proud to continue its long-standing sponsorship of the team this year.

Their team boasts a mix of experienced riders and emerging talents, all poised to compete at the highest levels of the sport. The team’s core lineup includes Team manager Geir Gulliksen’s son, Johan-Sebastian Gulliksen, who looks to bring his valuable experience gained from his father; Jur Vieling, who has many seasons of experience and joined the Scandinavian Vikings in the latter half of the 2024 season; Sara Vingralkova, who made her debut in 2022 and is looking to further her experience; Jorge Matte Capdevila, who initially joined the team in 2020 and returns with the intention to make a strong early-season impression; as well as Deirdre Reilly and Lara Tryba, who make a formative part of the team.

Our support for the team highlights our commitment to developing both established and emerging talents and providing resources that help athletes push their limits, reflecting the values of the Global Champions Tour (GCT) and its riders in the world of show jumping.

With the 2025 season on the horizon, the team is gearing up for a new challenge. The riders are eager to showcase their talents on a global stage, competing across iconic venues, from the season opener in the world-class Al Shaqab arena in Doha to the bustling streets of Paris and the historic Old Town Square of Prague. The GCT continues to set the bar for the equestrian world, offering thrilling sporting action and an opportunity to unite a global community.

As we look forward to the thrilling competition and unforgettable moments that lie ahead, one thing remains clear: the best is yet to come.
