Scandinavian Vikings finish 9th overall in Madrid stage

As one of the youngest teams in the field, the Scandinavian Vikings; Evelina Tovek and Teddy Vlock were faced with Santiago Varela Ullastres flowing design of a 1.55m complex course track over undulating terrain with an 82 second time allowance. The Spanish flag triple combination proved especially tricky for some riders.

On the first day, Evelina Tovek and Winnetou de la Hamente Z took to the ring first, unfortunately gaining 8 faults. Teddy and Volnay du Boisdeville also suffered a mishap by rolling a rail. Collectively gaining 12 faults, however the young team took the challenging course in their stride.

On the second day the Vikings, kept Evelina and Teddy riding, with both choosing to swap horses. Teddy Vlock took to the ring with Amsterdam, however suffered at the Longines upright gaining 5 faults. Evelina Tovek dazzled with a perfect clear on board Dalila de la Pomme. The Madrid stage results in the Scandinavian Vikings team finishing 9th overall.

The team will now look forward to moving onto the third leg of the circuit in Ramatuelle, Saint-Tropez. The Riviera resort is where the horses and riders head to the turquoise waters on the legendary and striking arena on Pampelonne Beach.
